Because he’s the best candidate. If you watched the debate and didn’t come away with that opinion you are cognitively challenged to say the least

No. I’m not talking about real organic opinions. I’m talking about the coordinated obvious posts and upvotes.

It turns me off.

I agree. Landry is a career politician trying to advance his career by making headlines rather than actually serving the people.

Exactly. A few token gestures doesn’t suddenly make you Thomas Sowell.

You don't think Landry camp has people lurking, posting and up/down voting stuff here?

Politicians and political groups with money absolutely have people on this board. The Jindal Administration and his ally groups were known for doing such, and others specifically in Louisiana have since learned and followed.

People need to go actually watch the debate. Wags was the only candidate who actually answered the questions asked and had some substance behind his answers.

But those weren't his answers. He has curated the answers he likes from other folks all summer.

The trial lawyer network is throwing money to Jeff. So that’s all ya need to know. He’ll be JBE’s 3rd term.

You’re either high or ignorant.

All he did was grandstand and run his mouth in preparation for this. Nothing more.

Is there a place to watch a replay of the debate?

Does this just mean he hasn’t been an elected official before

Not ever being an elected official (i.e., part of the governemnt) is the definition of outsider.

As for being head of LABI, so what? They represent an industry group. Other outsiders (Trump, Perot) were also politically active and "lobbied" for their own interests.

Despite his past association with Jindal and based solely on what I've heard him say as a candidate for governor, Waguespack definitely sounds like the best candidate.

Lol. You guys go ahead. Wags is a huge reason why Broome is the mayor of BR. I’m not here stumping for anyone - but this gaslighting that wags is an outsider is hilarious. One day you guys will wake up and figure out just about everyone of these assholes is captured by someone. Wags is the one who did the capturing previously. Now he is going to be Gov and just be a bastion of conservatism? Some of you people are sheep. Or just very disingenuous.

If that’s you metric then you should vote for Nelson. He was publicly against mandates long before Landry and long before it was politically expedient.

Every candidate up there wore a mask during the pandemic. What’s your point.

Do you make voting decisions based on pictures and emotional responses?

This is why they’ve kept Landry away from the debates. He was a disaster last night.

Debates don’t mean shite. Just a chance for wanna bees to take shots at the front runner. Waguesback track recocd with Jindal vs Landry as Attorney General. I’ll take Landry everyday.

Louisiana will look absolutely identical in every single way ( short of future hurricane damage) in a post Landry governorship as it does right now. Let’s take a chance. Wags is my guy so far.
