Sounds like he just wants to get elected and doesn’t stand for anything else in particular.

Less than ideal additives to food notwithstanding, I'm pretty sure any doctor or nutritionist in the world would tell you that people are better off eating lean meats, fruits and vegetables, and whole grains even if they contain pesticides or traces of residual antibiotics than they are consuming Snickers bars, Coca-Cola, and Doritos.

Do you dispute this claim?

Meh, I vote for people based on the policies they are likely to implement, not for a party. That usually ends up being a conservative, but not always.

For instance, I am not a huge Trump guy but it's obvious he is what we needed to address the immigration issue. Though I do fear what the response is going to be from the left when they get power again. So far Trump isn't doing much to make sure it's not an issue going forward post-Trump.

“Centrists” are just people who are scared to have an opinion on an issue. They’re useless

And drinking water is better than drinking whiskey.

How would banning junk food from SNAP improve the food supply?

It wouldn't.

Now please answer my question.

EDIT: I'll ask it in another way: Are you really going to act like it wouldn't be be an improvement for people on SNAP to eat real food (albeit of a quality that could be improved) instead of highly processed food (made from the same real food that has the impurities in it)?

And in the context of the post the guy made, that it wouldn't be relevant that removing highly processed food from the possibles that SNAP would provide would be kind to those people, on the basis that you were sparing them not only the poison of the raw ingredients of food-like products, but the resulting even-greater poisonous effect of the finished food like product as well?

BTW, when you cryptically advocate for something as stupid as resisting reforming SNAP so that people can't use it to buy junk food, this is when you are earning your reputation in here. And don't try the, "Who me? I never said that" nonsense either. You are saying that, either as a mindless troll or because you really advocate for it.

And if not, then what is the point you're making?

If companies want access to those SNAP dollars they likely produce less junk and more healthy food, at least in theory.

I don't believe it would be that simple personally.

I'm just reposting this statement in the hopes that anybody stupid enough to downvote it will come forward and explain why.

What do you mean?

What's "unrealistic" about limiting SNAP purchases to actual food and not uber-processed "food-like products?"

Border Patrol and ICE serve similar functions by stopping or removing illegal immigrants, and you failed to answer the question.

Getting intertwined with protesters? How is that even possible? It just shows how incompetent they are.

Very dumb question. You should know by now that woke Protesters are putting themselves in the way.

Sanctuary cities dont cooperate, so another dumb point.

Liberal activitsts have taken control of this branch, so another dumb point.

Not in favor of snap just realistically if you have it the cheap “junk” food is closer to rations than giving them fresh meat and produce.

Now maybe you could argue only give them rice and beans. But taking away their soda and chips would actually cost us more

You are having a terrible day ITT.

SNAP is leading to obesity and diabetes, which costs us FAR more.

Sounds like he thinks for himself.

Even I will admit it doesn’t always pan out but that’s the journey of life.

I voted for Obama both times but almost didn’t the second time and regretted doing so after. He changed course in his second term and pursued leftist policies (I now know because he didn’t have to run for reelection).

Regardless I am proud to say I listened to the issues at the time and didn’t vote strictly party.
