I don't know if Bannon is just trying to stir the pot or what but I'm opposed to a 3rd term because I do not want a democrat doing the same thing sometime in the future. Hell, a democrat can wreak enough havoc in one term, three would be catastrophic

Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon insists that President Donald Trump will run in 2028 — and win.

During an interview with The Economist released Thursday, Bannon predicted that Trump is “going to get a third term,” ultimately based on the will of the American people.

“So Trump 28,” said Bannon, the host of the “War Room” podcast. “Trump is gonna be president in 28, and people just ought to get accommodated with that.”

When asked directly about the 22nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which prohibits any U.S. citizen from serving more than two terms as president, Bannon pointed to how there are “many different alternatives” for Trump to stay in office, but did not provide specifics.

“At the appropriate time, we’ll lay out what the plan is,” he said, adding, “But there’s a plan.”

Bannon continued: “President Trump will be the president of the United States, and the country needs him to be president of the United States. We have to finish what we started.”

I just don't believe that. Not that he said it but that they could do it. Like someone already said there's nothing in the Constitution that allows for it and also I think Trump will be 82 when this term ends, it's going to be time to hang it up.

The abandonment of constitutional norms and the constitution outright in the name of "fairness" as defined by the MAGAsphere.

No, you're full of shite. It's not even the type of thing they would be discussing right now. And it's certainly not the type of shite some "insider" would be leaking for you to spread on message boards.

Trump has talked about it on camera repeatedly.

Bannon has been talking about it for months.

They aren’t hiding it. It’s being considered as a possibility.

I watch Warroom daily. I don’t think Sloppy Steve means Trump in the flesh. I believe he’s talking about his influence.

Five years later and still no proof of this.

Five decades later, there's also no "proof" that the CIA was involved in the JFK assassination , either.

Go on believing what was instructed to be told to you.

He’s said repeatedly he means a third run for president.

“He’s going to get a third term. Trump is going to be president in ‘28 and people ought to just get accommodated with that”, Bannon told The Economist in a video interview.

Bannon is laying out some bait for the media to wrestle with for a little while. It’s a way to keep them edgy and waste their resources talking about nonsense.

He does this often. Looks like several on here took the bait.

Bannon has had Mike Davis on several times where this subject comes up or Bannon will make that statement, then they both snicker. They are trolling the left. 100%.

a 3rd term for a president is deeply un-american

i didnt know so many of yall hated america's institutions and constitution

"if you wouldnt want the other team doing it, it isn't the right thing to do"

i don't understand how breaking the constitution is so amazing to us when we FIGHT for the constitution

we fight for the 1st amendment, and trump made burning a flag illegal - deeply concerning for our 1st amendment rights

we fight for the 2nd amendment and trump craps all over it trying to use one states national guard to attack another and also take control of a states national guard "Right to a well maintained militia" which is the national guard

where are yalls spines? I thought we loved the constitution and stuck by it

The Trump third term will be like the Obama third term....their Vice-President will be elected (well, debatable for Biden, but I digress) and serve as surrogate. I just suspect that Vance will be more successful and win a second term on his own.

Look, I think Trump is fantastic but I don't want anyone being elected to more than two terms as President. It's a slippery slope. Trump will be rattling their cages just as much out of office as in.
