Maybe not as seriously as you??? Lol

Trump is restructuring America's role in global trade so we don't continue to be taken advantage of. Anyone believing this could be done painlessly and easily is naive.

So your business survived 8-10% inflation on everything, but won't survive the 10% tariffs on some a few items?

That doesn't make sense

it's obvious that you didn't go to college and you certainly took no courses in economics, i'll concede medical supplies but on what planet are appliances, electronics and power tools considered essentials?

CEO's from Walmart, Target, and Home Depot warned him yesterday about shortages. Let's see if he listens.

If these companies are relying on Chinese products for their survival perhaps they made a fatal mistake

I certainly would not mind if Walmart and target went out of business and I can go to Lowe's as easily as Home Depot

Don't worry, this thread will be anchored like the thread about the stock market headed for the "worst April in forever" thread that only came out on Monday.

Nobody will remember the thread nor you.

The fatal mistake of trusting Trump to handle this correctly? He could have simply worked with companies and incentivized them to move manufacturing to different markets over the length of his term. Within just three weeks of the new tariffs kicking in on April 2, ocean container bookings from China to the U.S. have dropped by 60 percent across the board. That’s a red flag. We import around $600 billion worth of goods from China every year, and 95 percent of it comes by ocean freight. We sell these goods for over $2 trillion. This kind of disruption isn’t just a hiccup. It could slam the economy with a $2 trillion hit. We’re talking business failures, mass layoffs, and empty shelves by summer. If the tariffs get rolled back, we’ll still face a bullwhip effect where everyone rushes to restock at once, completely overwhelming the system and sending shipping costs into the stratosphere like we saw in 2021.

Well you just started a profile today, and your name is Agitator. Safe to assume you seek to agitate, or at least understand your tendency to do so.

under what profile name? i think that's the real question, why did you feel the need to create a new profile? because under your old profile you felt your comment would simply be dismissed. rightfully so since you don't know the difference between durable and non durable goods because you're an idiot!
