I hope Herrera can pull off the upset.

Happy to see that Gill was successful

My SiL is from Eula, TX (Gill’s hometown) and I mentioned that she had a great congressman from there and she said that was shocked that somebody from there would ever be successful.

I know he’s married to Dinesh’s daughter but he strikes all the right cords.

With the Gonzales infidelity scandal I'm surprised he still has so much support. That's what big money will do for you I guess. Harrera would be a great congressman.

I hope not. I would be awfully disappointed. Get out to vote or you don't get a right to btch.

This is more baffling than the Cornyn/Hunt/Paxton race.

Herrera should win against a serial adulterer so easily.

Any difference between the two Gonzales and Herrera in terms of political views?

figured Wesley Hunt would fair play against Paxton and Cornyn. I was wrong.

Big money and the failure of the GOP to hold him accountable. I suppose they keep the slush fund for that sort of thing for a reason.

If Brandon does get in, I’d hope he would serve a term or two, repeal the NFA, and go back to the private sector.

DC devours men’s souls.

It’s not all that surprising.

I said this earlier. I feel like every third person in my circle was saying they supported Hunt.

People that thought Cornyn should be term limited because of being a RINO and Paxton was a scumbag should have voted for the middle guy that was none of the worst of the extremities while being extremely electable.

But here we are… picking between a douche bag and a turd sandwich.

Herrera is extremely extremely pro 2A. Gonzales is MAGA lite. Not awful but far more baggage than Herrera.

Hunt will run again next time…

I’m not surprised. Just disappointed.

In a state that elects Abbott, Patrick, and Paxton regularly, I shouldn’t expect better.

It’s wild. I’ve watched the ads for a month, the only negative thing they could dream up was that he didn’t vote for Trump in 2016. Meanwhile Paxton and Cornyn….name it, those shitbirds have done it and lied about it.

I am a life long conservative and haven’t voted for a Democrat outside of Charlie Stenholm and Chet Edwards in 40 years of life and I didn’t vote for Trump in 2016.

My parents both have been heads of the Tom Green County Republican Comittee and they didn’t either but we figured it out.

I can forgive a black dude from Houston for sitting one election out.
