1st degree? Not happening.

All the facts support a 1st degree murder conviction.

The next likely outcome is a hung jury due to jurist fear of retaliation or jury nullification due to a misguided sense of "equity".

Are you a member of Collin County law enforcement? Do you work for the DA?

If not, you don't know what all the "facts" are.

Neither do I.

Would you consider information in the publicly available police report to be facts? Those are the known facts.

Could there be other unknown facts? Sure. If those come to light, then the analysis may change.

But 100% of the facts from official sources do not support a legal defense of self defense.

I consider those things to be "evidence" that the DA will use to make his case.

Conversely, the defense attorney's job is to convince only one of 12 jurors that there is reasonable doubt that the evidence supports a 1st degree murder conviction.

My prediction is this case will either end up being plead down to a lesser charge, or the jury will convict him of a lesser charge. A conviction of 1st degree murder is highly unlikely, in my opinion.

Barring a massive cultural shift for blacks, they are incompatible with a civilized society.

I’m not saying all are bad, but the popular culture version of them is horrendous.

“Isn’t blowing in the wind” as ole Bob said. It’s dealing with this murder appropriately, making an example of him so no more people are hurt in the future.
we'll see if the judge takes this circus into account at sentencing.

Going to be hard to claim remorse with this stuff.

Except for you know all those very real statistics

A white person has roughly a 1-in-400,000 chance of being murdered by a black person in any calendar year. I posted the data and the link in the other thread the other day.

What are these very real statistics you speak of?

Even without a video he is cooked. Texas shouldn’t offer a plea deal. The jury will hear eyewitness testimony that will describe Anthony shoving a blade into an innocent kid’s heart and running away while he bled to death. If I’m his attorney I’m telling Karmelo that he needs to learn how to play cards and sharpen iron for the 50 years.
