The DA should’ve done a better job, it appears.

But all this got me to thinking. What percentage of your city would you feel safe jogging in? Are there vast areas of your city you avoid due to safety concerns?

Ive just watched the video, that dude was just jogging, he wasn't "hauling arse" from any crime or he wouldn't have jogged up to the truck, and then went around it once he saw the redneck standing there with a shotgun.

Those fricking idiots deserve to go to prison for murder, for the rest of their dumbfrick lives and the cops that told that dude's mother he was shot during a struggle with a homeowner during a break-in should be charged as an accessory after the fact

This is the kind of dumb shite that feeds the civil division in this country.

They may or may not be white supremacists, i have no fricking ideal, but they had NO fricking reason whatever to think that guy was engaged in criminal activity. They went after him because he was a "black man" in their neighborhood.

Throw the book at them and anyone involved in trying to give them a fricking pass.

I think there’s a screen cap floating around showing what resembles a hammer on the ground behind him as he’s running. Not sure if that’s doctored or whatever. I don’t think the shooters knew he had a hammer.

Agreed, unless the jogger had committed a felony prior he had the right to stand his ground.

The dad did not see the guy committing a crime on the day he was shot and killed. You can't just go and make a citizens arrest because you're pretty sure it was him on surveillance camera from a previous incident.

Why wasn't he arrested for the previous incident if daddy knew who he was?

1. Don't go jogging in unfamiliar neighborhoods with cargo shorts, high tops and a hammer.

There was probably no hammer, and we already have corroboration that Arbery jogged on Fancy Bluff Rd, which turns into Satilla Dr after passing a causeway. LINK

quote:

One of them was Lauren Bennett, 26, who says running was what Arbery was known for around their Fancy Bluff neighborhood in Brunswick. Her security camera would ping into her phone as he raced by each day.

“Yup, there goes Ahmaud,” she told the Guardian, recalling his bouts of exercise. She’d heard he used to wave to another neighbor on his daily runs.

The second way is how I read what he said. I agree with your interpretation.

I only view that second way as threatening.

That would be.

The fact that it was videoed kind of triggers conspiracy theory. You don't don't start recording video unless you knew something was about to go down. Could it have been a person that is skilled in psychological operations and got these two country baws riled up enough to go after the victim? Not out of the question.

I say just call the damn cops and if you absolutely must, follow at a reasonable distance to be able to direct police to the correct location. Lest you find yourself either dead or on trial over a person you made dead. Best case scenario, they get out of this with only numerous death threats for quite some time to come, and a 10-20k attorney bill. Worst case, prison for between 5 and 10 years at a minimum on up to a few decades.

It was a very irrational set of choices these guys made here.

Again, no mention of a hammer was made in the documentation. Stop repeating it as though it is true.

Ahh.

Was he armed too?

Bottom line, it all looks bad for the white dudes.

I just also have a sneaking suspicion that we are going to find out good old Ahmaud's mom had a solid reason for accepting the idea her son was caught in someone's home initially.

We will see.

It’s a friend of the McMichaels who joined the chase.

If you watch the video the conclusion of a reasonable person is that the shooting was inappropriate and not called for. This does not change anything on that front. I don't care if the guy left the McMichael's house with $300,000 worth of jewelry just before the shooting. You cannot follow someone and shoot them unless you believe you or someone else is in imminent danger. And no reasonable person can come to that conclusion watching this video

Georgia law disagrees with you.

I thought I heard a gun cocking sound in the video, but I'm not sure, and I really don't want to watch it again.

Seeing how deferential she was to authority, that might have been a function of how she was raised too. And if Arbery is the burglar who had supposedly been terrorizing the neighborhood, despite there being only one police report made in the preceding weeks, where is the stuff that was stolen?

OK. I have to ask.

Did you laugh at the narrator saying "appears to try and avoid them"?

I mean, LOL, he literally ran right at shotgun dude.

I don't think that really helps the white dudes, but sheesh. Narrator is full of shite.
