Net? You're in possession of their specific situation re transfer payments over the years and can assure us that number is smaller than whatever "benefit" number you are claiming?

All you will get is a down vote.

I can tell you that the ones I know own businesses, have jobs and seem to be doing well. I don’t have access to any payments they receive. Nor do I have access to that information for non- immigrants…
Neither do you.

I've seen estimates of 20m illegal aliens here. 10m from the last 4 years. If we deported all of them we would have zero unemployment, our health care premiums would plummet, and we'd have a balanced budget. You can bring in seasonal workers to pick the fruit so don't use thar argument. Get rid of every last one of them!!!

A country with a welfare system cannot have open borders. A country that permits immigration must also force assimilation.

Remove any and all foreign language assistance. If you can't speak english, why are you even here?

This is so friggin obvious it’s amazing there is any argument at all.

The disconnect between average people and elite opinion was so obvious that academics wrote papers about it.

Hmm, the same disconnect hit Europe. What a coincidence.

Of course they’re doing well, fake child care and transportation companies bring in a lot of money without any actual expenses.

It depends on what you mean by “assimilation”.
The Italians, Irish, Asians and even Hispanics for the most part have done fine…

Of course, the anti-immigrant crowd will gnaw on the Minneapolis Somali bone for the rest of their lives…

Rapid immigration was needed with the spending culture we have in this country. Ever increasing and unchecked spending means that we need to bottom of the consumer pyramid to keep growing. Otherwise the entire thing collapses.

Dems and Republicans don't say it but it is true. Need to pass a balanced budget ammendment with no way around it. This rampant immigration shite will come to a halt and I mean fast.

Never going to happen but it needs to.

VOR, I agree with your taste in music a lot. We seem to appreciate a lot of the same music and I enjoy reading your stuff on the music board. But stop this nonsense. You personally know about as many Somalians as I do. ...none

However, we both know they're scumbags.

They of course mean no one who isn’t on their side. It’s in the fine print, hard to see but always there.

If one came into the USA without going through the legal process and paperwork then one is illegal. There are no variations to being illegal.

Almost any demographic will do fine if we pause to force assimilation. But if we allow so many in that they do not need to assimilate, then you will have problems.

If we had done a few common sense things 20 years ago we could have avoided this. Number one, no welfare programs for immigrants for their first five years here. Come to work or stay home. Number two, screen the immigrants and accept no criminals. Number three, expand legal immigration and police illegal immigration so that it is close to non-existent. Number four, develop a robust temporary work visa program. Number five, get rid of birthplace citizenship.

Immigrants could be a great strength for our country, but we are running it as though we want to destroy America. It would be like a pro football team drafting randomly from a list of people who apply to play.

BS. What you really mean is you’re ok with secure borders for now ( for a few years) because you’ve already imported 22+ M illegal voters that you can exploit. And that’s enough…for now.

I’ve always favored secure borders…
I haven’t always agreed with some of the “enforcement” tactics.

Enforcement tactics wouldn’t be happening if they weren’t here. It’s on them at this point as they’ve been told to leave a year ago.
