I’m gonna predict you’ll find some incredible deals on used cars and property very soon. All those expensive watches people bought and can’t afford will be sold.
All the people in debt and over leveraged will be looking for a way out.
Get ready for the Fire Sale.
So turning America into a second hand flea market is your idea of success?

Well is yours to continue to have same shite policies that got us here?
Let try it? Why do we pay tariffs but other countries don’t? I suspect most will roll theirs back with a few weeks.

Got us to be the dominant economic super power? You might need some perspective. There are some things that should definitely change. Inflicting maximum pain on the American consumer isn't the way to go about it though IMO
It's just another way to make sure the oligarchy pays next to nothing while the middle class gets completely soaked in the process

If they work, great. They can help the imbalance.
If they make the situation worse, the next POTUS in 4 years will rescind them and put it back the way it was.

If you have a deep cash reserve, you shouldn’t have any problem.
So that’s probably less than 20% of Americans.

This makes me laugh. Almost as much as the single mom, pregnant with her third child bitching about the hardships of being a single mom, while awaiting the door-dash delivery of her sushi dinner with 6 extra yum-yum sauces. All of this at work.
Another case...watching the EBT card recipient...eating her crab legs and talking about how the next time she is going to get lobster...also while at work. It never clicked in her head she just ate 1/3 of her nightly pay in 1 meal.
I don't care...being financially irresponsible is not my problem. I don't fear the tariffs.

For the record, what would you consider them working? Enough to where you give Trump credit for his approach.

True, but if you're an adult that pays bills, you know (or should know) to save for a rainy day. That means putting a little bit aside each paycheck. Take the money that you spend at Starbucks, McDonald's or whatever needless thing on your list and put it in a bank account that is used only to save money. If you don't have a skill to get a decent paying job, then shame on you. You missed the boat and we can't wait for you to get your shite together. There are good paying jobs for those willing to bust their arse, Learn a skill that people need and pays decently.

This is a reset.
Correct. This is just the first step, and I'll likely be bumpy for the next 4-6 months.
It's a detox of the current poisonous financial system that's infected the US since 1913.

Now you have the abject audacity to compare your spoiled lot with "poor people"? REALLY? Did you attend college, or is the A&M moniker just a prop?

Tariffs will be fine.
At the end of the day, most Americans spend more than they need to in order to get by.
People will make cuts to get by.

So even blind hog occasionally finds an acorn?
Frankly the market was running hot for nearly all of 2024. A lot of folks were overweight cash entering 2025. So not necessarily a "blind hog."
Then again, many, like me, transitioned from "fully invested" to "overweight cash" during the latter half of 2024, giving up profits as the markets continued to run. Sometimes you hit the timing dead on. Sometimes you miss it by several months.
C'est la vie.
