Euro Montego Bay isnt rough, now Kingston yeah there are some pretty scary parts of Kingston. Working with some locals at Pepsi going in and out of places. Guy about the size of Andre the Giant walks up to me and says what the fck is a white mfker doing in this neighborhood. Place is totally quiet, I looked up at the guy, all 150 lb, bald headed Pepsi wearin shirt of me, and I said......"Just tryin to make a livin boss, just tryin to make a livin."
He said "You must need the money real bad". The whole place erupted in laughter. Dont worry about a thing, cause everything gonna be all right.

I married one. Would recommend. She’s more conservative than I am and I’m pretty damn conservative.

If that GW can do 90 avg. A bit more than an hour but yeah, it’s close. And fishing is still unrivaled.

I'd consider buying property in Cuba if the government changes back to capitalism.
Same here, exactly ….. already got a place picked out and know exactly what I would do

Cuba could also become like Jamaica. A few powerhouse "all inclusives" on the beaches and a few internationals like the Hard Rock in Havana and throw up a Hilton or two, but rest is still poor.
Again, ever been to Jamaica? I spend my honeymoon there and they had an armed bus take us from the airport to Montego Bay because it was so dangerous.
Cuba needs a lot more than Americans/Canadians doing the all inclusive thing at some Sheraton twenty miles out.
cubans are a proud people. they word hard and want nice things... they dont want to be sitting around doing nothing.

If done right Cuba could become a tourism powerhouse in just 10 or so years imo. If Americans can invest into Cuba and build it back to what it was before Castro….
Ignoring that before Castro things were so bad for the majority of the population that they supported Castro seizing power?

How did that work out for New Orleans, instead of being a center of business and trade it went all in on tourism industry.
Cuba has way more than tourism to offer

Owlie, maybe you're right, maybe there will be concession of land for a deal, but consider what Cuba is now. Development is what Cuba needs. The infrastructure is poor at best, just about anything is an improvement. Hopefully Cuba will be done with this dictatorship.
I've worked in the past with Cubans who had to leave because of Castro. All they wanted was to be allowed to return and be free. Working a deal with the US might be the best option to get there.

Cuba’s survival is dependent on importing oil for its energy needs. High energy costs stifle economic growth.
Cuba’s economic relationship with Venezuela was complex. Cuba exported healthcare (personnel and services) in exchange for heavily subsidized oil from Venezuela.
Musk could flip the Cuban economy on its ear …. if he could structure a way to be profitable in the process. Solar, tunneling, electric grid, technology… endless possibilities beyond real estate
