When Angela explained that they only act this way because they do not like themselves that was the truth bomb. While there are a few who could present a normal physical appearance and behave according to societal norms, they probably had life experiences which affect them mentally. Most are decidedly weird or physically unattractive and become self-loathing freaks. For whatever reason, they wind up here because of internal and external rejections then set about rejecting everything we consider normal
Damn they nailed it!

But I thought everyone was against politics being inserted into TV shows and movies…?
Well, when you have shows like The View every fricking day hammer the right on every single show and you have people like Robert fricking De Niro saying frick Trump at some award ceremony and with the left inserting politics into every fricking show that airs on television then I think it’s OK if maybe Taylor Sheridan pushes back once in a while.
Are butt hurt about this?

Not at all, I like Landman, it’s incredibly entertaining for what it is
I’m also just not the sort of person who would get upset at a movie or TV show making political statements in general

Thing is, it wasn’t injected.
The left injects politics into scenarios, characters, dialogue even if it’s out of place.
This was an unattractive, miserable , leftist white girl on a college campus.
She exists in droves. Nothing over the top or out of place.

“In general.” So there are times you get miffed.

That woke communist leftist looked a lot like someone from Minneapolis

It’s the right fricking forum because Taylor Sheridan has gone after The View and did again today and he rips a typical woke pronoun obsessed POS character in this show.
And the actress that played that part was great. She really makes you hate her.
It’s political. This thread is in the correct forum. frick off.
Ummmmm .... lol ... did you see who I responded to, dipshit?
I'm on your side.
I agreed ... this is definitely the correct forum.
Eat a bag of dicks and pay attention next time.
EtA: PS ... you were 100% correct. It was a great episode. Can't wait for next week's. Hopefully by then you'll learn how this BBS response system works and you'll check out who's quoting whom before you insert your foot too deeply into your piehole. I forgive you. Heat of the moment.

It was good. It was even sympathetic to what a miserable loner the Lefty was.
When the woke girl asked Angela why she would want to go to a pool party, Angela said...with sympathy to how clueless the woke girl was to happiness in life..."to make friends."

Watched it! Was excellent! Another point in addition to what Angela said is how the 'thing' made all these ridiculous demands to her daughter, which were absurd. The very reason we object to these people in real life is the fact they want to be treated special, like they have superior rights over normal people.

Kudos to Taylor Sheridan for coming after these assholes
Also, Johnny "Madcap" Tyler.

I enjoyed it and the scene eating Boudin balls and alligator poboys.
They nailed that chick and even had her coming from Minneapolis lol
No lies detected. The absolute way his daughter bops into that room like a ray of sunshine and tries repeatedly to befriend her dorm mate to watching the light slowly go out in her eyes to point she walks out of the room and starts crying.
Amazing scene and so spot on what these people do to everyone.
The admission counselor is a cunt too. Surprised TCU let them put a character in like that associated with the school

That was very good watched it last night
But the series also has so many scenes and f bombs that are so unnecessary.
Kinda cringe

That is not what the phrase “in general” means. It means, as a general rule, it doesn’t bother me
There have of course been blatant pieces of flagrant dogshit (released from all across the political spectrum) which bother me, but not because they weave political elements into it, because the show sucks
Landman does not meet the criteria for either imo. Like Armageddon in 1998, it’s way too fun for me to take any offense to the hugely pro-oil talking points

Ainsley made a great comment that completely encapsulates the left and their all that matters is me belief. She said something like....
The tell me what they need to be safe but don't ask me what I need to be safe.
