Seriously? That's how you identify the infamous corporate raider of the 80s, an "animal rights activist"?

Al Franken is identified as “US Senator” and not “shitty comedian indirectly responsible for the disaster our 1980-1981 season of SNL”.

Icahn is an "activist" investor meaning he is seeing some inefficiency in Kroger's operations. I would not read this as he wants Kroger to go vegan, though. If anything he wants to see if he can wrestle out greater value for the investors. If Icahn invests, it usually is a good thing.

I dont typically (errr.. ever) give a crap about "animal rights" but that seems pretty cruel. what's the purpose of the tiny crates? just a lack of space?

That's EX-senator, and no, I'll always see him as:

Probably to maximize the number of breeding animals able to be kept in one location.

When you gotta get stuff on an industrial scale, it ain’t pretty.

Yep. More pigs in less space = more money.

Carl isn’t nearly as bad as most elite. He did help Trump get into office so he isn’t all bad…

Sureeee Karl. He did the same thing 2 years ago with Oxy when they threw the bank at Anadarko. Got pissy, ended up putting two guys on the board then jumped ship and cashed out when their stock went up.

This is a topic that’s tough to think about. I knowingly eat meat in blissful ignorance - and prefer it that way.

Some of what occurs would be tough to watch.

I read the article. 'Taking over' in the title is misleading.

If he also stops the commercials with that stupid Flo Rida song then I’m all for it.

I drive by a Kroger to get to H-E-B.
