The Desantis fans left are actually energized by NOT getting behind Trump.

We had a thread on this a while back. It’s an interesting phenomenon.
Desantis and his supporters actually criticize and attack Trump supporters (cult, etc. )
Desantis supporters believe that Trump attacks them personally even though it doesn’t happen. They equate (emotionally) an attack on their candidate to a personal attack.
It’s emotion (anger and pride) that keeps them from being willing tonsuooort the nominee.
