Recency bias personified.
Many people never heard of Charlie Kirk before he was assassinated. And he was not running for office.
Robert Kennedy was running for, and may have eventually won, the presidency in 1968. His assassination was much more impactful than Charlie Kirk's. And I am in no way disrespecting Charlie.
