Consider waiting until we actually KNOW what Louisiana will do or not do before reacting like a whiney baby. It is a rumor now. 14 days like GA seems more likely than 30 days. Of course I wonder of it is actual school days that we are counting or total days including weekends. 14 days is an unusual number of school days to consider.

Put out rumor for twice the amount of time that is probable to actually be announced. That way when they announce that schools will be shut down for 2 weeks, parents will think “it could have been worse.”

I can see closures but not for 30 days. It would be a retarded overreaction to close schools in parishes with little to no cases for that long.

Just got call from our Catholic school that they will close for a month because of Edwards decision to close public schools!

My wife is the executive assistant for the superintendent of the school district up here in Indiana. She said he's been in a state conference with the state superintendent and other local superintendents about suspending classroom learning for the rest of the semester and switching to 100% E-learning. Not all districts are equipped for it, but I guess the one we live in is. White flight South Bend Suburb, Penn Harris Madison.
