Imagine believing this

SCOTUS literally told him how to do it, and now he is doing that.
He just picked the wrong statute.

If IEEPA is subject to congressional oversight, SCOTUS just told Congresscritters to get fricked & stay fricked when it comes to attempting to regulate these tariffs handed down by the Executive.

It wasn't completely serious.

I love how Trump gets long standing issues finally settled.

Those of us who closely observe the USSC for decades already knew who they were.
The two most consistently conservative justices, Alito and Thomas, ruled in favor of the tariffs. Kavanaugh, who is somewhat conservative but in his core believes in a strong use of executive powers in certain areas, ruled in favor of the tariffs.
The three most consistently leftist, and ideologically committed to open trade and open borders and globalism for wealthy countries, Kagan, Sotomayor, and Jackson, all ruled in favor of striking down the tariffs.
Roberts and Barrett, the two institutionalists, ruled in favor of striking down the tariffs.
And Gorsuch, who has been all over the map in his rulings, particularly in cases like Dobbs, Kennedy, and Bostock, as the wildcard ruled to strike down the tariffs.

Both have reasons to not tell you the complete truth. Both.
And I’m not sure there’s an outlet out there that is going to give completely unbiased takes. So I’m going to guess the truth is somewhere in between, and we won’t really know until about 4-5 years from now if the investments and project start rolling in, or they don’t.

You're the one backing a policy also supported by Bernie Sanders

Tariffs are taxes ? Probably adding 10% as a bargaining strategy towards keeping the collected tariffs already collected

Part 1 ??
Supreme Court update:
Tariffs.
The narrative focus is all on tariffs and that Trump lost and can no longer tariff other countries without Congressional authority.
But look a little deeper.
Both Trump and Bessent have suggested that they have a plan in place, if the Supreme Court struck down their tariffs.
They were already prepared for this decision.
But this decision DID NOT strike down ALL of Trump’s tariffs.
Most people are completely missing that.
There are still tariffs implemented by Trump that weren’t affected by this decision.
Here’s what I think most people are missing.
This case is based on Trump using a law that was enacted back in 1977.
This is KEY.
Which law?
International Emergency Economic Powers Act(IEEPA)
This is what’s interesting to me.
Here’s a summary of that law.
Nowhere does it mention “tariffs” and the SC majority mentioned that.
(Brave search engine)
“Presidential Authority under IEEPA can be triggered when the president identifies an “unusual and extraordinary threat” originating in whole or substantial part outside the United States, which endangers national security, foreign policy, or the economy.”
“Once such a threat is declared, the president may:
•Block transactions and freeze foreign assetswithin U.S. jurisdiction
•Regulate foreign exchange, banking transfers, and trade in currency or securities
•Impose economic sanctions on foreign governments, organizations, or individuals
Congressional Oversight is required under IEEPA: the president must notify Congress of the emergency declaration and report every six months on actions taken.”
“Emergencies must also be renewed annually under the National Emergencies Act (NEA) to remain in effect.”
What I think most people are completely missing, is that this law isn’t focused on tariffs, it’s focused on SANCTIONS.
This law has been used since its inception, to put SANCTIONS on countries and individuals.
Why would Trump use this law as a basis for some of his tariffs, if he knew there was a “high probability” that he would lose this decision?
I want to make sure you don’t miss that last part:
“Congressional Oversight is required under IEEPA.”
Let’s connect some dots.
Just over the last few days, there have been several narratives ALL converging and most people can’t see them.
1) Obama makes big news talking about aliens and UFO’s in an interview.
Trump declares right after, that he will declassify all the UFO materials.
2) Trump’s in negotiations with IRAN, to remove leadership, denuclearize and normalize relations with Iran.
3) The Supreme Court strikes down Trump’s use of the IEEPA law to implement broad tariffs against a few countries.
How are these three stories connected and is it a coincidence?
It’s not about “tariffs.”
It’s actually about SANCTIONS.

EU SANCTIONS (IRAN).
Leaders of EU only care about protecting flow of MONEY - NOT the safety and security of their people/world.
IRAN deal orchestrated for the sole purpose of lifting SANCTIONS (blockade) to allow access of foreign businesses for individual & co-wide enrichment. SCAM!!!
Nothing to do w/ NUKES (cover_)
Hussein pallets of cash.
Hussein secret auth to convert USD.
More coming.
No MSM coverage.
Got Popcorn?
Q
Anybody remember the Obama Iran Nuke deal?
Anybody remember the secret pallets of cash flown into Iran, in the middle of the night, that nobody was supposed to ever know about?
I wrote about that here:
LINK
Obama used the IEEPA law to impose SANCTIONS on Iran.
(Brave)
“Obama relied on IEEPA, along with other laws, to issue multiple executive orders targeting Iran’s nuclear program, petroleum sector, and human rights abuses.”
“In January 2016, after Iran’s compliance with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Obama issued Executive Order 13716, using the same IEEPA authority to suspend certain nuclear-related sanctions.”
Obama ended the SANCTIONS. (KEY)

This is un-American bullshite. The Supreme Court made a ruling and the other branches need to live with it. That’s the design of the Constitution.
Tell that to all of the lower court judges.

But unlike the prior tariffs Trump imposed, the new levies can only be in place for a maximum of 150 days, barring congressional approval for an extension.
