Are you serious, Clark?
Its structure is set up to protect and cover-up the wrong.

Theologically speaking.
But all structures have skeleton's not just the RCC.

Catholics sure do whine a lot over what others say about them for people who pound their chest over their apparent greatness.

The RCC is the hill I'm dying on, the first is still the best!

Die on whatever hill you want on IDC. First is where all the errors were made by man.

All the errors were made at Penticost? I don't think a single Christian sect would agree with you on that, while you flush Acts down the drain.

Christians wouldnt agree that the Catholic Church is some shining beacon of perfection.
Like I said before, lots of issues in Christiandom, and the Catholic Church has no ability to act like it is going to bring it back to glory. If anything, we are seeing how it's leadership is bringing it down more and more daily.

All we, as faithful Catholics can do is stand for the truth, pray, and wait. Also redirect where we send our money.
The younger church is so much more traditional I have high hopes for what the bride of Christ will look like in my old age. So many great young priests coming up through the ranks. I’m excited.
It was pope Benedict XVI who said the church will have to get smaller before she grows. He was right.

Pope Francis has appointed Cardinal Robert McElroy, a vocal defender of migrants and critic of Donald Trump’s first administration, as the next archbishop of Washington, DC. Cardinal McElroy, 70, is a strong supporter of Francis’ priorities on refugees, the environment and welcoming LGBTQ Catholics. He will succeed Cardinal Wilton Gregory, 77, who was the first African-American Archbishop of Washington, DC.
A good number of the NGO's enabling the bullshite along the border are funded by the catholic church and organizations. The Vatican is all in on the destruction of the US.

Benedict was as conservative of a Pope as there's been in recent church history. They engineered his removal or resignation for the communist in there now because of his vocal concerns with the direction of the church.

That’s why they get zero of my dollars.

That happened a long time ago. IMHO the Catholic church is now out for the money, when it takes 200 years to complete a Cathedral something is wrong. The Vatican is the most arrogant display of wealth I've ever seen, literately tons of gold stored and it could be used to help all mankind.
Judas was a thief and a traitor.
There has always been corruption in the midst of the holy.

It’s a truly bizarre blind spot. And not a credit to the faith. Even if Christ had meant Peter was the cornerstone (he didn’t), how one goes from that [mis]interpretation, to apostolic succession and papal authority is completely beyond me and forever shall be.

I agree with this, as stated in my first post. But non-Catholic Christians acting like their churches are not wrought with scandal, just have their heads in the sand.

Pope Francis probably believes his ideas are the best to do this. The net he casts is far too wide for my liking and honestly believes he misses the mark anyway since Traditional Liturgy is what people want. But Catholicism is the only one with any ability to unify or stand ground as Protestantism continues to divide and disregard theology. For every leftist Pope and Cardinal, there is a whole new denomination or split in a denomination that goes right with it. It just doesn't make the news. Methodists and Presbyterians know this. The RCC can come back from crappy Popes, JPJ and BenXVI were incredible Popes. Give me, and I hope everyone, a Church founded by Jesus that is resilient enough to last for centuries.

To which do you have more loyalty - the RCC or the USA?

The majority of Catholics worldwide want this?

Heard that 1500-2000 year old blind spot that even persists in half the Protestant major denominations.
Keep watering and trivializing everything down until no one believes anything. Try saving souls or building a civilization on that.

Easily the RCC.
Would you put the USA over Jesus?
