Trump is popular because Trump is the only person in the last 10 years who is willing to push back against those that are working to undermine the party and country.
When Trump ran, he stood up against the RINO establishment. To the surprise of the GOP establishment (who had the audacity to be pushing another fricking Bush for president), that platform electrified the voting base.
After becoming president, Trump's America First platform, and policies that energized the economy were things we haven't seen in decades.
So, you understand, I will not return to the GOP that moves back towards that old school establishment group. I believe I'm in the majority. If the GOP wants to keep me, it needs to push back against all of this PC/CRT bullshite.
People like yourself and Pettifogger have no fricking clue what the voting base wants. So, you sit back and can't figure out why everyone is so stupid for not getting back in line. You are clueless. You believe it's worship of Trump. FFS, any candidate that is pushing the America first agenda, pushing back against the craziness of the socialist/communist left will be someone I can get behind.
