I’m happy to see it. Of all the stupid crap that’s put us in debt this one of the least of my concerns.

There is a complete list of corporate and private donors. Some of them are actually democrats. Currently the White House can only hold a maximum of 200 for any event. The average state dinner has over 400 in attendance hence the use of circus tents and port a potties on the White House lawn. Over the years I’ve seen dozens of events held in tents on the lawn

I don’t look forward to the turnabout when democrats get control of the white house as they demand frivolous expenditures because….. well…. Trump did it
quote:
The total cost of the new White House ballroom is approximately $300 million, funded entirely by private donations from various corporations and individuals, including tech giants like Amazon, Google, and Meta, as well as contributions from President Trump himself. The project is designed to alleviate space limitations for state dinners and events.

As of August 2025, approximately $13.8 billion has been spent on the California High-Speed Rail project, primarily for constructing the Initial Operating Segment. The total projected cost for the entire Phase 1 is estimated to be between $89 billion and $128 billion.

The estimated fraud cost in Minnesota could exceed $9 billion, with more than half of the $18 billion spent on Medicaid programs since 2018 potentially being fraudulent.
quote:
Estimates suggest that Minnesota's daycare fraud could involve over $110 million, with a federal audit indicating that 11% of child care payments may have flaws, potentially affecting $231.4 million in claims.

Yep And guess what…. 2 wrongs don’t make this right Even if it’s donated by private companies and individuals 100% I don’t like selling rights to federal property Again, 2 wrongs does not make this right

If Obama did this, you would be praising it.
Why didn’t Obama get donations from his generous, charitable wealthy friends to use for the betterment of the United States? Too much focus on his pick up basketball games?

Hell no. I have no loyalty to Obama or any political human or party.
I voted for Trump because I’m a conservative with empasis on fiscal conservatism. I figured him to be the most conservative of the candidates and love the swamp draining promise.
I don’t see trump behaving in a fiscally conservative manner with this ballroom. It’s superfluous and sets more bad precedent. He and republicans won’t always be in power afterall.

Bottom line here
the companies making donations for the ballroom construction “want something from the government and they are paying for access to the President and others. They want something in exchange
Does anyone believe that Lockheed Martin is donating out of goodwill? Heh. They want defense contracts. want big defense department contracts. With that goes our expense increase for military spending which is already astoundingly high at a trillion a year!
Globalism

You're not fooling anyone, leftist.
He does this in every conversation he gets into. It's his thing. He's a one trick pony.

Is anyone else complaining other than Mr. Opulence himself, Donald Trump?
If limiting the guest list to 200 was good enough for 45 other Presidents -- and the "circus tents" routinely used for larger attendance -- why should a Louvre sized addition be necessary? Is the reason the accommodation of Trump's ego? (OR, is the "Ballroom" actually part cover for "other" construction"?)
I'm sure the tents were elegant and spectacular; and "port-a-potties" weren't like the one the serfs use at parks and construction sites.

Cool sight I'm sure.
But again -- existing European palaces built hundreds of years ago can easily accommodate the larger venues; no European nation has ever built "Ballrooms". (I supposed the only nation who DO build them are in the Middle East.)

You obviously didn’t pay attention during the Biden years.

I like it.Tents and porta potties were a disgrace.
I just hope he doesn’t want to put his name on it.

Those "port-a-potties" weren't the kind you and I whiz in at the park, brutha; they are regal, fit for royalty.
Ever been under one of those "circus tents"? The vibe and sight are amazing -- and you hardly even smell the left-over zoo essense from the elephant and monkey pheromones.

The government is going to be paying for this ballroom. Maybe not 100% of its construction but the day to day and the cost associated with the demands by those that are “contributing”
Posted on 2/4/26 at 1:41 pm to Ailsa
Another aspect of this project and its cost is that they are clearly doing subterranean work as a part of this. The PEOC is located under there.
Surface level renovations at the WH are always a convenient cover up for underground work--its been that way since WW2.

Eveyone enjoy the picture, bc none of yall will ever step inside and few will probably ever see it from the street.
Best part is he won't be around to enjoy it when its done.
