It feels like Trump thinks he has the leverage to apply pressure to some pretty popular figures (Kemp, Rogan, etc.) with this type of stuff - which is akin to what the left/media has always done on their end with cultural/other political figures.

But I'm just not sure if it's true or not. Out here in everyday life, I certainly don't think even among R circles there is enough pressure to be MAGA to make this work.

On one hand, I somewhat wish there was. On the other, I think Trump's effort to get everyone in lockstep, and most importantly, in lockstep beneath Trump as the overarching decision maker, has, uh, downsides.

No, because Trump is a petty, insufferable douche and constantly does stupid shite like this. It makes no sense.

This is the same Trump we have known his whole life. Why this shite bothers people so much at this point I will never understand. It's what makes Trump, Trump.

I want Trump to win. Not commenting on every little thing would help him win. This is one of those things.

It’s fricking aggravating how Trump is probably the best man for the job giving the current climate, but he’s the only one who could frick up winning an election against that shitty Democrat ticket. It’s also annoying how it just seems like he hasn’t learned a single fricking thing since last election.

It sucks for independent thinker types, but in this current political climate everyone needs to find a side. No room for fence sitters.

There's no greater political strategery in this man. There's no 3-D chess here. Donald Trump is a frickin' a-hole. He just is.

Trump had the perfect opportunity to say something like, “I would be happy to be given the opportunity to go on Joe Rogans podcast and explain why I think I’m the best choice for America.”

Yes, that’s what he should have said. He should have directly and openly invited Rogan to Mar A Lago to make his case on his podcast to the American people, or even gone to Austin if necessary. He should also emphasize after the assassination attempt that this is important.

People close to Rogan have been telling him that he needs to go interview Trump, and I think Rogan was like 80% of the way there after the assassination attempt. This is just idiotic and he should apologize making something like that statement.

I don't understand why this is such a big, shocking deal. Rogan has been a RFK guy this entire year BUT he always says great things about Trump - he always sticks up for Trump and he always bashes Biden and Harris.

Rogan is a Center guy. He has never related himself with the Republican Party or the Democrat Party.

It's not like Rogan had a full episode announcing that he is supporting RFK. He was simply asked a question and basically said that Trump and Kamala both have flaws and the only one that he can actually say that he supports is RFK

Now, because of this stupid fricking Truth post by Trump, the news cycle is going to spend 3-4 fricking days about this instead of attacking Democrats and Kamala.

Another missed opportunity

^^^ THIS!

So fricking frustrating. I can't stand when Trump does this kind of shite
