An effective bully intimidates their target. The media is just laughing at him and going about their jobs. Sure, they get baited every now and then into writing something stupid, but they keep hitting his nerves. It's driving him crazy that he can't control them.

I will say I'm impressed that he's putting together full sentences and thoughts. Much better than his foreign leader press conferences. He's obviously more comfortable dealing with stupid bullshite than actual issues.
