The irony is that when it was Republicans/MAGA pushing for the "independent state legislature" theory, guess what they supported.

No
We will see if that question matters or not.

I cant imagine any conservative that would oppose voter ID in whatever form it came. Anyway this is a federal issue you retard.

No, he just tried to make a stupid “gotcha” argument.
A more accurate description was preemptively calling out hypocrites.

The irony is everything you post is hypocritical.

States don’t have the right to influence national elections. You lose again dumbo

We don't really have "national elections"
The closest would be the Presidential election, but those are done by state to determine Electoral College electors.

There shouldn’t be a complaint whatsoever since all that is being done to to ensure the integrity of the election. Any illegal vote disenfranchises a true citizens vote.

If the choice is to let communists run their own states, Communist states aren’t worthy of rights

Won't pass muster in Court.
Probably won’t but will cause the usual suspects to start ranting about how requiring ID is racist.

You realize how this could be used for literally any state-based action, right?

quote:Exactly. If voter ID can be requried by EO, it could be suspended by EO.
So no principles.

Any person who opposes voter ID to be required wants to cheat and hates this country.
There simply is no other excuse. They know it’s the truth, but they won’t admit it. They want to cheat because they hate America/Western Civilization.

While we can all agree on the intent of Trump’s EO here, it really is silly when you think about.
So, let’s assume that in some bizarro world that this EO passes legal scrutiny. What’s to stop a Dem POTUS from issuing an EI to vote on say, Facebook.

States cannot influence the Presidential election by allowing non citizens to vote.
You want illegals to vote.

I've been an admitted and avowed supporter of requiring ID to vote, scholar, for 10+ years on here.
We're not discussing that. We're discussing federalism. The interaction of state and federal governments in our system, specifically for elections.
