Democrats significantly weakened the filibuster on November 21, 2013, when they used the "nuclear option" to eliminate the 60-vote requirement for most presidential nominations, including executive branch appointments and all federal judicial nominees except for the Supreme Court.

DEMOCRATS got the ball rolling downhill.

Well, they have done it in the past so why would anyone think they wouldn't do it again?

Manchin and Sinema were the only democrats that voted to keep the filibuster under Biden. Both are gone now. All of the current democrats and any that the democrats might allow to run in the future will vote to scrap the filibuster.

Yes, the game has changed. The Democrat party has turned over and moved radically to the left. The mask is off and they're openly advocating for violence against anyone who opposes their agenda. It's asinine to think there will be any moderate positions in the near future from this version of the Democrat party.

But it hasn't. That's the point.

They are going to remove the Filibuster, pack the court and install all their crazy spending bills. The dollar will be as strong as the peso soon.

The only two reasons/senators that prevented the democrats from doing it last time have been run off and are no longer in office.
They 100% will do it next time

But, but, but they didn't us it for legislation I guess that is (D)ifferent. Anyone with half a brain knows the new democrat far left Marxist party will change any rule they can to make sure they seize all the power they can the next chance they get. In typical RINO fashion the inside the beltway politicians are all for taking what ever the dem's want to do to them.

Trump knows if the Democrats win the Senate in the house he’s over. They will impeach him and he will be the first president to actually get impeached and removed from office

The Constitution requires a 2/3 majority in the Senate to convict and remove in an impeachment trial.

If the Dems do win a majority in the Senate next year, they won't pick up enough seats to get to 67.

They’ve already done damn near everything including trying to kill our President. They’re so close to having one party rule they can taste it. They will stop at nothing if they get control again to achieve this

No...filibuster needs to stay. Period. We wont always be in power.
But now the blueprint is out. When not in power, sit back and let the closedown be blames on the leadership

Democrats were the architects of using reconciliation to jam the ACA through. The express purpose was to avoid the filibuster. It's been done and we are all worse for it. To answer the question, 2010 when they changed the rules to do this.

So you don't think the Dems would remove the filibuster when they take over?

The left is becoming more radical each election cycle. What hasn’t happened before can’t factor into the equation.
