Just got off the phone with my Persian friend who has a number of contacts in Iran. Despite the supposed opening of internet, these contacts still don't have contact with the outside world.

I am betting it will be another week or more. The Lincoln is not going to arrive in the area for another 5 days at least. In addition to needing the aircraft, I am sure that the military planners would love to have the Aegis ships in the strike group present before risking a potential Iranian counter attack.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Iran should listen to Teddy Roosevelt. Speak softly but carry a big stick. Instead they are speaking loudly and carrying a small stick to threaten the USA. They can probably do some damage to Israel and US bases but they just tested a ICBM capable of hitting America last weekend. There is no way they can have enough of those things ready to saturate our defenses and do damage to the USA. Also their military does not have the capability to yoink Trump from his bed at Mar a Lago.

I feel like there’s probably a lot more than what’s being reported. Hopefully it’s one of those situations where they start seeing others do it and it just opens the floodgates
