Yep. My guess is Iraqi mercs that don't even speak Farsi.
Before the internet crackdown there were several reports that Iraqi mercenaries had entered the country and were targeting civilians on the behalf of the regime, particularly in Tehran.

If tweet fails to load, click here. The supreme leader is hiding like a little bitch. If true then either they feel certain that today is the day or they are seriously concerned that they have lost control of the situation on the ground.

We are still 4 days or so out from the carrier group being in theatre in the Persian gulf.
My guess is that part of the rushed “negotiations” between the US, Ukraine, and Russia (which both sides are still far apart on) is a chance for the US to encourage Russia to offer safe passage and sanctuary to the Iranian leadership in Moscow.
It is real easy to say “just chop of the head of the snake” but much more difficult and with much more collateral damage than people want to admit. It is better to negotiate a “soft landing” (which Maduro refused to accept) than to have to use military force here.

Reportedly on station tomorrow. The USN has been understating maximum speed of its ships at least 85 years, substantially at that
Two cases...
When dad was on the USS Nashville in 1940, they did make 45 knots going after a German submarine.
A friend on an LST when they went to meet the Enterprise, clocked on the radar at close to 60 knots They were meeting it to pick up mail to bring up the Mekong.

It's their problem, let Israel do the dirty work.
eta: and by dirty work I mean the boots on the ground cleanup.

With the 20 Chinese cargo planes that have landed in Iran, I wonder what type of nasty weapons have arrived? I hope no nuclear.

OR they could be hauling stuff out of Iran, just like Russia's cargo planes hauled lots of stuff out of Iraq in 2002

Wasn't this disproven?

Why fly home empty? They did load up national wealth, documents, money, and personnel.
And that doesn’t rule out weapons were flown in.

That is just one part of our force. I’m not that this our strategy or anything but it wouldn’t surprise me if snuck a B2 strike in while everyone is distracted watching the Lincoln.
Personally I hope he has gone into hiding because they have lost control on the ground. I would love to see the supreme leader hanging from an escavator in the street

You dipshits eating up the propaganda and getting all hyped about the possibility of another war in the Middle East that won’t help the American people one bit is pretty fricked up.
