What happened to the eleventy million illegals over the last 20-30 years? Did they all die? Did they disappear like a mouse fart in the wind? Why are all the illegals that came in illegally yesterday going to end the American economy if they are deported?

Nearly half of the nation's approximately 2 million farm workers lack legal status, according to the departments of Labor and Agriculture, as well as many dairy and meatpacking workers.

So they knowingly hire illegals. frick them.

Strange, because the 4 years we had the worst immigration problem we also had the worst inflation problem.

More immigrants didn’t help with lowering grocery prices sport.

One of the best ways to encourage innovation is to remove hard physically demanding labor (i.e. slavery) from the list of options. If this means higher food prices temporarily or even permanently, then so be it. American jobs for American workers, dammit! Tired of the fricking BS excuses that "no Americans will work these jobs". Well, they will if they need to eat, won't they? Maybe anyone accepting welfare from the state could go work these jobs instead of just sucking on the US Taxpayer's tit?

Fake. I work in this sector and HB2 has allowed American farmers to hire migrant workers easily and legally.

Thank you.

Why people believe these news agencies is beyond me. They are rarely 100% right and most of the time the opposite is true of their storyline.

Machines don’t need welfare either.

I would guess some are paid cash and still claim whatever government handouts they can for being migrants.

Aren’t the immigrant farm workers here on a work visa already?

No. Not by a long shot. I worked in Ag (produce specifically) for a long time and this is a reality. This issue does need addressing. The labor force will shrink considerably and there will be disruptions until you either get domestic manual labor or you get machines to harvest. There are already machines that can harvest some crops but they’re the exception at this time. If they brought back the bracero program it would be great but I don’t know if that is in the works. It should be if it isn’t.
