A Bonnie flag! I think of the only picture of my great grand pappy in his middle eighties wearing his confederate hat. He was severely wounded in the war and two of his brothers were killed. After he came home, he met and married my great grandmother whose first husband had died in the war.

It’s a bad-arse flag. Always has been and always will be.

Things that come to my mind:

The South. God Bless her. We live the way we want to...as best we can.

Fabulous Freebirds

Lynyrd Skynyrd....Southern Rock

Alabama....oh play me some mountain music....song of the south....high cotton.

I never owned a slave, nor did my poor ancestors. I abhor slavery.

That's a blanket or "throw"...otherwise it reminds me most of the car from "Dukes of Hazzard".

Certainly none of the crap you hear about today.

It makes me quietly chuckle.

A black student at our predominately white school wore a rebel flag belt buckle for years. No one ever said a word about it. The administration told him this past school year that he could no longer wear it because it was a racist symbol.

He was genuinely confused.

Represents the struggle for independence from a tyrannical government. No different from the Betsy Ross flag. Patriots W-1. L-1

Symbol of the rebellious spirit that resides in many southerners who want to preserve our culture and get tired of the rest of the nation telling us how we should live
