There's a societal totem pole and they want to be on top for a myriad of reasons, it all comes down to wealth, privilege and ultimately power.

We are too smart and resourceful. They see this as a threat. They can’t control everything we consume anymore, which is creating a massive problem for their control efforts. This is why they are dumbing down education under the guise of equity, among other things

They know an existential event is on the horizon. Whether it be from the genetic manipulation, earths weakening magnetosphere, grand solar minimum cycle, biosphere dieoff from industrial waste and/or climate engineering. They believe themselves to be doing us all a favor by a slow soft kill while we lay the groundwork and infrastructure for AI and robotic automation to give them a future because they consider themselves in the 500 million remnant the guidestones referred to, also because of their transhumanist values they believe themselves to be God's among men and that as they move to a posthuman existence there will be no need for human life as we know it today.

A sense of arrogance that they are the smartest people in society and therefore everyone must bow to their feet. It enrages them that people they view as inferior can not only become wealthy ,but influential in society.

When you have so much money you think you can control the world.
They find a way to take from others and spread it out without having to spend their own.
Ive always said, these super rich americans should play who has the biggest D, pony up and each take on a public school district that is in the dumps, use their own money to prop it up and lets see if the underprivileged actually can excel and succeed. BUT, they dont care about that. It would prove too much truth.
