The answer to this question would all depend on what the event is that caused us to need our allies. If we went to war with Iran, then Isreal would be our greatest ally. We go to war with Russia, then it's Great Britain. War with North Korea, then it's South Korea first.

Nah Australia is probably more openly hostile to the CCP than anybody other than us and Taiwan at this point. Maybe the Philippines or Vietnam.

It is crazy how after ww2 its been an almost instant 180 between Japan and usa. Japan knows they need us. And they are a pretty strong ally for us.

Most of EU feels an obligation to us because they can’t afford for us not to be their ally.

Ill give a different answer and not "Israel" who would sell us out the moment it became advantageous, but im only going to list a couple.
The UK -- basically our vassal at this point we control all their nukes completely by British law. Australia, NZ, and Canada come along with this. Canadas fortunes are tied to us forever.
Vietnam -- Might not seem correct but they love Americans over there, and really really hate the French. In the most obvious WW3 situation between the USA and China, Vietnam would almost definitely align with the USA.
