This is going to be a big problem. His ticket will be weak. Nobody worth a damn is going to want to run with him and be tied to what he needs to do to make him the “Trump” everyone says he needs to be in office.

Take a page from Obama, instead of "you have to pass it to see what's in it" it can be "you have to elect me to find out my VP." This will also appeal to Democrat voters, as we heard time and time again how brilliant and brave the strategy was. He can also go a step further and get some of those votes with "If you like your president you can keep your president." As long as he is held to the same standard with that promise I don't think even the Republicans could have an issue with that.
