quote:is this thread in regards to the WaPo article where Hegseth, speaking over the phone directly to naval operations bypassing the navy secretary and theater operation, said "kill them all"?
Why would you even tell anyone you double tapped?
It gives fake independent fricks the opportunity to knight
If so, regarding the 'double tap' in that WaPo article I will point out that they did not say the 2nd strike was directed at the 2 survivors.
They said there were two survivors. And a second strike was authorized.
But they did not say the second strike was against the two survivors. They led the reader to believe that... but they did not say it.
I postulate that if a missile strike, by Seal Team 6 no less, was ordered, by Hegseth or anyone else for that matter, directly against those two survivors they would have taken the opportunity to directly state that instead of inferring.
Therefore one can assume the 2nd strike was on another target and the author knows that.

Just for fun! It has to be awesome to be a fighter pilot and shoot those things off for real instead of just shooting for practice. Unleashing that kind of power on bad guys has to be a rush.

If the fly boys did waste an 80 thousand dollar second missile blowing up a fishing boat they need to reconsider the economics
It is a war of civilization vs savagery. Out of all the ways the government wastes tax dollars, $80k to ensure some narcos from Venezuela get smoked seems like a pretty good use of funds.

A burned out vessel adrift on the high-seas is a hazard to navigation.
[That’s what we gonna say if we are ever asked about this]

It was the first one, so gotta give them some slack. 2nd...can't have the survivors go find a way back to their compadres to let them know what happened. Hurts the operation.
Pretty simple. But also idgaf. Get the job done. The govts top job is to protect our nation/borders. Be proactive is good. Cant respect people who don't care about destroying this nation by opening our borders, but then whine about this.

This weeks democrat fake outrage, Rage Bait.
By Monday you will not hear a peep about drug boats and they will have moved on to the next world ending crisis.
