I’m not sure I follow - you’re suggesting that Dems walk all over the GOP by posing as Republicans and posting inane BS on message boards?

Fine

Let me know when you and “them” support a right wing nut who wants a border wall and to shut down the dept of education. Because various points of view are important right?

Or how about this, the next time we have an EO appointment for gender or race or orientation, let it be someone other than a marxist. Deal??

As a black woman her point of view is important and she can bring an insight into decisions that none of the other justices have.

You're a racist.

Her job as justice/judge has nothing to do with her point of view. It’s to read the law and apply it to cases.

sort of. most judges could be considered conservative, moderate or liberal. while the nuts and bolts of any given law or laws in a case are what guides the ship, each judge's personal experience and beliefs factor into these decisions

also the notion of "most qualified" is subjective - it's not like cooper kupp posting the most receptions, yards and td's. is she qualified? Seems to be. Doesn't mean you have to agree with her or support her nomination, but she's qualified

She lets pedophile go, and you probably don’t have kids but that’s a “Hell no” from me. This sickness is imprinted in their brain, they like what they like; there is no rehab, as studies show, they will repeat. Jackson want to basically let them out and hurt other kids, this is a non-starter……

I will never support someone whose skintone and gender played a heavy role in getting a high level position.

The moment skintone and gender became two of the main requirements for a scotus nominee, I no longer gave a frick.

conservatives are constitutionalists by definition.

I can make the case that liberals are all unqualified.

Remind me which group regularly calls for updates to the constitution? Or just starting over.

So you think it’s fair to appoint someone to the highest court just because she is black. Do you think that there is nobody in this country with a better resume

No.

But it isn't a hill worth dying on. No worse than Breyer. Opposing her gets you labeled a racist and sexist. Supporting her gives you the moral high ground - "look how they treated every single GOP nominee compared to how we respected the process".

It's very hard to hold it up for three years, so pick a different battle.

Technically, blacks will be over-represented in the SCOTUS.

No, this is a position that each justice brings constitutional law to the table in cases that tend to be between the lines. This is not where somebody from a different background gets to rewrite the constitution because of feelings.
Diversity does help in bringing equal justice to all but the lib side of the table has been hellbent on rewriting the law rather than fitting the world to the law...
