Would be a useless act. All this petty, thin skin complaining is nauseating to hear from grownups...from both sides.
It’s amazing how easily people can be offended by words, statues & even a damn rope. It shows extreme lack of self confidence & weakness.

for those that follow the sport closely, this is recognized as a clear sign that NASCAR has made the choice to abandon the traditional, loyal fanbase that got them to this point, ... in favor of a younger, more diverse audience of fans/viewers.
Phelps, using Wallace as his Kapernaek , is following the NFL social justice playbook to a "T" .... all with the financial backing of the MSM.
It isn't hard to see ....

This rope was unique to garage 4 at Talledega
Wallace was in Garage 5. But you are correct. There was a rope with a loop in Garage 4. They were in every garage.
Nothing was “assumed” by Wallace. It was an orchestrated hoax between NASCAR, Wallace, Richard Petty Racing, and certain media members (Marty Smith)

Start the conversation.

Agreed. I have been going to the fall Talladega race for years. And every year there are less people, less campsites filled. The infield is getting more low rent and nasty. I won’t be back this year.

But instead of going to track management and finding out what the real story was, someone went the social media route, and the story blew up. Unfortunately, Bubba is is apparently not man enough to simply acknowledge the mistake.
Will The People and Patriots force NASCAR and Bubba Smollett to apologize

It would be nice if Bubba and the media hounds licking the racist narative could actually say, Opps, sorry. This had nothing to do with racism in Nascar or the supporters. We apologize to all those people.

I don't buy that. These are people that have been around garages their whole lives. The guy that found the noose didn't go get someone else to show him, and that guy didn't tell him he was wrong and instead agreed it was a racist symbol? And they didn't take a picture of it as proof? NASCAR officials didn't go to the garage to see the noose for themselves and just took their word for it? No way.
Either every one involved is incredibly stupid, too stupid to be around machines, or it was a planned hoax.

I could see in this climate taking it seriously as a precaution. Could you imagine the blowback if someone from RPM went to Nascar with a concern and they dismissed it? Up until his doubling down I actually didn't hold anything against Bubba. I've watched him race from the legends up until now, and the few interactions I've had with him have been lighthearted and he seemed like a good dude to have a few beers with. I have had VIP/Hot Passes to various venues on the NASCAR circuit, and can say that there are no less than a half dozen tracks with these style pull-downs. On any give race weekend a plastic handle could break and a crew member could fashion a pull loop without giving a second thought to it.
Getting to go to any of the races I had tickets for was going to be hard enough this year (Texas x2, Kentucky, Kansas, and Bristol Night Race), but the circus Bubba has been on the last 16 hours now has me contemplating the reimbursement offers from the various tracks and thinking hitting some short tracks all over for some racing may be a better way to enjoy the sport and to spend time with my sons this summer.
