This idea that Lyon wouldn't sell to PSG for anything is just silly. BVB sold Gotze to Bayern, and Lyon-PSG isn't even that big a rivalry. They would probably prefer to sell him abroad if they have to but if the money is right they will make the right business deal for them.

He's not half the genius Pirlo is and Lamps hasn't been a first XI player in 3 years.

Regardless, Lyon's history is that of a classic buy low-sell high philosophy. They have, for the last 15 years or so, always made the best deals they could and then reinvested the funds to keep going. Not selling to a certain team just out of spite flies in the face of their entire club ethos.

Dortmund surely didn't want to sell him to Bayern but Gotze did choose to go there whether he cried about it or not.

People question whether Schweinsteiger can still provide an absolutely elite presence coming off all the injury issues because his contribution demands a whole lot more physically than Pirlo's (or Lampard's since he's seemingly been more an attacking sub for a while).

Liking what West Ham is doing. Poyet was a nice signing and keeping Jenkinson on another loan is solid. Allegedly they have a few more signings lined up but thus far I am a happy Hammer!

No kidding SCH, don't be so obtuse. Gotze wanted to go to Bayern bad and didn't even try to hide it.

Exactly. Bastian can still play a role at United, nobody is denying that. But he is much farther past it than you seem to realize or want to admit.

Given that his fee was so cheap, I think Bayern believes he is past it too. At the same time I think he could have a resurgence if he is protected enough. But his problems are ankle related and those don't usually go away.

yeah, if he was surplus at Bayern... makes me think his injuries are a big concern...

Haven't heard exact number but it was less than 10 mil I believe.

I don't think Lyon has a history of selling within their league

Dortmund loan Immobile to Sevilla for the season.

Well that happened quick. I know they didn't want to take a big loss on him but seemed like he was in no way in their plans for the year.
I've read that Reus maybe an option in kind of false 9 role in some matches this year.

Rumor is that Immobile was being a total bitch, sulking and pouting and refusing to talk except for when he demanded to go to Spain.
