Durkin is as shitty as people think Michael Bradley is.

Llanez changed the game offensively for the US. Thought we missed an opportunity to keep the ball a bit more. We kind of just had Pomykal trying to cover the entire center of the field.

Overlapping runs from fullbacks were good. Crosses lacked and it was usually Soto v. 4 guys. Need more options if we're going to force it down the wings.

No call at the top of the box? Lol

That was an incredibly poor call. How blind was the referee there? And then he blows it before the 5 minutes. frick that guy.

Llanez held the ball one too many dribbles every time but he changed the game when he was in. The problem was the US had no secondary attacker behind Soto, everything filtered in from the wings but there was no one in the middle.

Are we talking about when Weah and the defender when down? Because that's not a foul by the defender.

That’s where Mendez/Ledezma and the opposite side winger are supposed to be. And any other runners from midfield.

No it was the blatant foul from behind on Llanez.

Durkin was fricking horrible. Should have just stuck with Servania if he is gonna be so shite.

Llanez was good but overall we had too many guys trying 1v1 instead of passing to teammates. One of our major problems this game was absurdly poor individual play. Some of it is guys trying to do too much alone, but also a lot of terrible touches and passes, as well as poor decision making in the final third.

Wing play was shitty overall as there was no end product. KDLF disappointed again. Weah was bright but our crosses to an isolated Soto weren’t working. Need a second forward to make runs and pull defenders out of shape. Why didn’t Tab sub Rennicks on sooner? I don’t fricking know.

I agree our fullbacks were awesome this tournament.

Paxton Pomykal is going to be playing in Europe after this MLS season.

Too many lost balls in the midfield. Keita must have turned the ball over 5 to 10 times trying to pass the ball out of the back. Quality on the ball is still lacking compared to the best teams in the world.

Only thing I can think of is we were getting some chances to score. He ended up taking out a CB to bring on Rennicks. Probably didn't want to take out a CB until absolutely necessary. Probably would have had to use the 4th sub in extra time to put another CB in.

He was doing his best to "talk" to the players during stoppage time. He was ready to go home.

Hoping Ochoa can get the starting job in Salt Lake after Rimando retires this year.

I didn’t read this entire thread but could someone tell me the reasoning for why Sargent wasn’t called up?

They view him as a senior team player and they had planned on him being on the Gold Cup roster until an injury 3 days before the Gold Cup roster had to be finalized (and ~10 days after the first WC match) changed their plans.

Wtf? I recorded the game. I got the other game with s Korea and senegal. So I played that game and it's the fricking Nigeria Norway women's game.

Was our game not on? This is bullshite

I never want to hear bitching from them again. My guide clearly says USA v Ecuador, but it's a bullshite women's match instead.

The French women def have some skilled players, but these U20 men would kill them. They can cover so much more ground in one dribble. It would never be close.

Not the best football ive seen, but fricking no way the girls could hang with teenage boys.

A u15 or was it u13 boys team torched the USWNT in a training game a couple of years ago. I have no doubt that a u20 mens national team would make any WNT look ridiculous undermatched.

Final is currently on.
Ukraine up 2-1 on South Korea in the 63'.

Anybody know if the Koreans are playing for military exemption here?

What an AMAZING run and goal. Individual effort to seal the game for Ukraine.

Both teams have been tremendous. Really good quality on both sides.

Both of these teams would beat the best woman’s team by 7 goals.
