He isn't good, he is great. Since his return from injury last season the word spectacular isn't enough to describe his play and what he means to the team.

Wenger wants Ozil to take on more of the goal scoring share. And in preseason so far I've noticed him making more runs into the box and Ozil has also made runs beyond the striker. Something he never used to do. He seems to be taking Wenger's advice as Ozil has been much more aggressive in the final third during the preseason. I really expect this is the season where Ozil starts putting up the goal and assist stats to match his brilliant all around play.

Seems the Benzema rumors aren't going away.

The way Mario Goetze was talking lately got me thinking his future isn't with Bayern ... THEN I remembered he put Wilshere in his ideal 6v6 team. Would this be awesome or would it just cause surplus?
ETA: In the case where Arsenal signed Goetze

I would love to see Ozil be a bit more aggressive when it comes to taking shots this year. Sometimes it felt like he was playing FIFA with a broken B button.

The last two answers are the best.
That's why they're the captains. Classy as fuq.

Wilshere could be out 3 months. Potential hairline fracture in ankle. Suffered in practice.
I hope to God this isn't Diaby redux.

Link broken. Like Wilshire's ankles. Still would feel better if we had another defensive midfielder.

Diaby was all muscle injuries, Wilshere is all contact injuries. It's bizarre.
Also, supposedly it was Gabriel who did with a hard tackle in training. Hope this doesn't mess him up mentally

Yep, out 8 weeks
Literally just told someone "if wilshere and ramsey can stay fit, this is arsenal's year"

I never understood those who said "Why sign Fabregas, when we've got Ozil, Cazorla, etc.?"
A championship side can never have enough good players, even at one position.
And is it time to stop counting on Wilshere to play a major role in Arsenal's long term plans?
As brittle as he is, I think you plan as if he's not there, and anything he contributes is lagniappe.

I know it sucks that Jack is hurt again but this should not be a setback to a title challenge. If you think about it Wilshere isn't really anything beyond a squad player these days anyway. He is at best 3rd choice CM and 4th choice at RM. I really want to see Jack succeed like most of us do but I just stopped counting on him to play more than a part time role each season.

I think it is time for Diaby to pass the Mr. Glass nickname on to Jack. Hopefully, we can look at this as him coming back rested to reinvigorate the team in a few months.

Yea, he's way down my (extremely uneducated) list of players that we cannot afford to lose to injury:
Coq
Kosc
Ozil
Alexis
Ramsey
Giroud
It would SUCK to lose any of these six for a significant period of time...

Agreed. Luckily we don't have the CL qualifiers this year so the first few weeks are just one league game a week. There isn't a need for much rotation until further into the season when he'll be back. Not to mention this is almost a blessing in disguise. The squad is so deep and the players so versatile that it'll actually work better if one or two guys are always injured for a few weeks at a time.
Assume we run out the same lineup as the Community Shield, here's who could be on the bench just in terms of attacking players.
Sanchez
Welbeck
Rosicky
Arteta
Giroud
Knock on every piece of wood in your abode, but we'd need month+ injuries to 4 or so players to be in any real danger.
