I dont know either, but he slid in weird and it went off his knee. I mean, its not like a pass with his foot, but there was no way else for him to "kick" it.
I just dont see how a slide tackle could not be deliberate. You may not know where the ball is going to go, but sure as shite are trying to hit it anyway possible.

There is a legit argument that the goal should have stood
I thought he’s off no goal but after that replay you can definitely see why people think it should be a goal.

There's a caveat to that rule, if the ball is "deliberately" touched by a defender, he isnt offside and its a live ball.
