We aren't the best of friends with them either. We're pissed about Joel Campbell's dive among other things and they are pissed about playing a World Cup qualifier in a Denver blizzard and Jonathan Bornstein's goal that knocked them out of the 2010 World Cup.

Here's a simple list of who the Soccer Board hates:
-Mexico - self explanatory
-All of Central America (some sympathy toward Panama)
-Italy - Brutal match in 2006 that included 3 red cards, Giuseppe Rossi's treason
-Ghana - Knocking us out of 2 straight WCs (with some help from the refs)
-Brazil - Basically the Yankees of soccer

Most people have their own #2 team after the US, but in general people are positive about England (due to EPL's popularity) and Germany (Klinsmann, several German-American players on the US roster).

If you look at the fox soccer Facebook page and its posts regarding the game last night, you will see that the Mexican fans have a massive persecution/victim complex. They really are the worst fans in the world.

I can think of a correlation to an SEC fanbase here, but I will choose not to

They are worse than any American fanbase in any sport. I am honestly dreading them coming here.

Eagles fans and dodger fans have to give them a run for their money

Though I'm sure many dodger fans are also El Tri fans

Honeymooned in Puerto Vallarta three years ago, and some douche frick in a Mexico jersey at a blown glass shop rang my credit card up for $1,400 instead of 1400 pesos. Didn't find out until I returned the next week.

Long story short, he went to jail and I got my money back.

frick Mexico.

Just imagine how much easier security would be in Georgia if Costa Rica wins that game...
