I'd like our chances over Portugal at the moment.

I haven't followed Denmark or the Netherlands much recently, but yeah Portugal haven't looked great.

I would love a shot at Argentina. Think it would be vastly different than the Copa America game a few years ago. I think we could take Denmark, Netherlands, and Germany. Spain would be interesting, they seem to either not be able to score or drop 4 goals.

with our best 11 out there i think it’s possible. we could also lose by 3 against any of them. we’re just too damn inconsistent.

The Danes have been on a roll.
I don't think they even allowed a goal during WC qualifying until they had officially qualified.

My friend was at that game. Said it was awesome and probably the best he's ever seen the team play.

It baffles me that they haven't won a single major tournament during this #1 run and yet, they are still ranked ahead of two teams that have.

We have been surprisingly slick on the counter under Clarke

I think on a good non-concacaf pitch with our MMA midfield, we could hang with anyone and even beat them without it being because of our "plucky American spirit".

I think last week's win over Mexico was so important for Gregg and this young team. It showed the world and themselves that they can dictate the game against other talented teams.

First time I can recall us actually bossing Mexico like that.

I feel like we fare better against the 11 in front than the shithouse tactics of stupid concacaf countries.

Remember when we were ranked #6 before the 2006 World Cup.

I think our best XI is at least in the same stratosphere as most top 10 teams, it's our depth where we still have to make up A LOT of ground.
