Jesuit is the best team in D1 but they always have trouble with St. Paul's in the playoffs, and St. Paul's always peaks in the playoffs. I'm hoping Jesuit will see BR High in the semis but if it's St. Paul's then it's a toss up.

Correct on that point - last public school to win state that I know of was Division 1 - Northshore girls in 2020.
Lusher/Willow is a public charter school and has won 3 in the past 5 years.
Ben Franklin is also a public charter school and their women are ranked #1 in Division 2?
I don't follow that closely but looks like several suburban BR public schools have made it to the finals in recent years.

I mean, they are public, however, aren’t their boundaries different than traditional public schools?
I mean, if the whole parish could attempt to enroll, that is a LOT different than a traditional public school with limited geography.
Northshore girls in 2020 is probably the last traditional public school that comes to mind.

What a crazy game yesterday between Teurlings and Central Lafourche.

Saw that - Good team.
My Son's Div 4 team PJP lost to Prairieville 0-1 in the Holiday Cup back in Dec.
They have a tough opponent - Teurlings Catholic

St Louis upsets U High 1-0 to reclaim the state championship for the first time in almost a decade.

It’s their coach’s first year too. What a fast turnaround.

Oertling knew and coached those kids from 10 years old. I’d give him partial credit for this one.

Oertling coached youth teams? I wasn't aware of that.
Regardless, the team had not even been to the State Championship game in 9 years, and 7 of those 9 years were under Oertling, and last year's team only made it to the quarter finals. Are we also going to give Oertling credit for that? Or only when the team does well? The new coach took over a team that had been floundering for nearly a decade. I think it's pretty obvious that he is a big reason why they performed so well, because he is the main difference between this year and the prior years.
And I'm not trying to diminish Oertling. His run will likely never be topped. But something definitely changed after 2017, be it the style of the game or whatever else.

Was trying to find the Jesuit brother Martin game on the LHSAA app but it’s not on there? What gives?

You can only get the LHSAA Network app on Amazon fire stick, Roku, or Apple TV. The iOS app, “LHSAA live”, is not the same thing. It’s retarded how they have it set up. But I watched the Division 3 boys game and I was pretty impressed with the coverage. Decent commentary and they did instant replays of big plays.
