The bottom line is we lost because we are mentally weak and have a shite bench to draw from in these situations. End of.

I mean, that's a bit hard on 'Pool, isn't it? Madrid had a paucity of goalmouth chances, and won the game on two mistakes by the GK, and one out of this world goal.
Pool does need squad players, but I didn't see the team as mentally weak at all.

I think we dropped our heads after the Mo injuy. We started playing within ourselves which isn’t what got us this far. After halftime we came out with renewed purpose only for Karius to throw one in which caused us to sulk our way to the 90th minute. The Liverpool of this season would’ve responded defiantly and rallied behind Karius, unlike what happened in the final. It seemed like that, mixed with the Mo injury, had us revert to the “whoa is me” mentality we used to see so prevalently.
