I am pulling for US but I am done with these athletes using their platform to push their own damn agenda shut your mouth and play your sport. At my job I am not allowed to walk around and push my own agenda and these athletes need to do the same.

The “military” argument doesn’t hold water. Undermining the chain of command directly reduces combat effectiveness. Some things are more important than sports and therefore have different standards

When representing the national team yes I believe they should be held to the same standard as the military.
It is inappropriate to openly be hostile to the government or any government individuals, including the President, while representing the national team.
It is a privilege, not a right. If Rapinoe can't respect our government than she should've resigned.

Ask this question. How long would any of these women on the Netherlands team be on their national team if they were openly hostile towards their leader? Not disagreeing but openly trashing the guy. That's what Rapinoe is doing, she is not simply disagreeing with Donald Trump, she is openly trashing him. You could argue that could reduce his effectiveness as a world leader.
