Gregg never mentioned Gio’s name but based on how he acts everyone was able to guess that it was Gio being a petulant little shite, yet you somehow think this reflects more poorly on GGG than Gio. Gregg went out of his way to give Gio an “out” by stating he was being cautious with his health, only for Gio to immediately undermine that by saying he was fine and ready to play. Then his idiot mother brings up a nonstory from the past to paint the coach in a bad light because he didn’t play her son with the bad attitude. This is immature travel ball nightmare parent BS on the highest scale, and it’s sad to see that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

This situation is a microcosm of US soccer. Rich, entitled parents creating shitty entitled players that whine when they don’t get their way.

Exactly right, all peers, all supposedly friends for years, now acting like travel ball parents. You got a bad coach who needs must be gone, but you've got parents acting out, all entitled. There is no good side to this situation.
The only solution is for the little cabal at USSF to be broken up, hire someone from outside and leave them be to do their job. Won't happen, just like every other big organization where there are so many insiders who consider the entity to be their fiefdom to run. Sure wish Klinsi had been more successful.
The Reynas need to lose their jobs and influence.
Earnie and Brian McHead need to be gone, and it pains me to say that as I admired both on the pitch. GGG and Jay need to be booted out on their arse, too. It's one thing to have an organization with a lot of alumni involvement that works, it's another when shite like this happens.

If I was a fan I'd be concerned about the state of US soccer. You get rid of the coach after the players mother reveals "something". Really need to clean house at the executive level too. This mickey mouse kids shite is why US soccer will never amout to anything. Who in their right mind would want to coach this circus, especially if it's anyone with any merit.
