Suarez is my favorite player in the world. He gives zero fricks and will do whatever it takes to win. Wish we had 3 of him on the US team

You have to take the AWARD away for bush league tactics to remove bush league tactics. As long as there's at least a perceived advantage in doing so, POS players will be POS's. It's that simple

Your way would also reward teams, you moron. Every stoppage would be drawn out forever as teams talk tactics, get water, etc.

The interpretation of the rules is so vast and varied between refs that you'd have to define the rules more clearly to account for every situation to remove the possibility of advantageous situations. A clock doesn't remove that possibility, it just accounts for it in a way that the ref already should.

Y’all do realize the fourth official is the one that determines stoppage time and not the lead ref, right?
It does get out of hand, but that is not on the ref. What’s sad is when the refs allow flopping to go unpunished and Suarez has faked 3 head injuries in this game already. It’s ridiculous.

With the technology we have today there’s no reason diving should go unpunished. I’m not talking the clipped heal but more what Suarez is known for. Faking head injuries should be discouraged because of the seriousness of real head injuries and how it impacts games and the health of the players.

Agreed. He didn’t even get hit in the head. Him laying on the ground acting like a dying cockroach is an embarrassment to the sport. He should get yellow carded.
