Saw that. Apparently he had been complaining of bronchitis like symptoms previously and then collapsed today.

Doesn’t say who he’s referring to, but he has a decent following on Twitter and is supposedly a usmnt & mls insider. So not sure if he would have inside information or not. Sad if true.

Yeah I was wondering why the alleged brother was reaching out to the president in that tweet before realizing he’s in Qatar. Would be insane if all of this is true.
ETA: In the comment section on Eric wahl’s Instagram video that you linked he goes on to say….
I believe Celine is Grant’s wife, and a doctor, but I’m not sure if she was there with him in Qatar or not. An Uber to the hospital after collapsing and being given cpr?!?! This is so bizarre. I hope this is just a bad joke.

He did walk into a stadium in Qatar with a rainbow flag earlier in the World Cup. It might be natural causes, but I wouldn’t say it’s impossible for foul play to be involved.

Feeling bad for awhile almost makes it weirder. Bc that kind of rules out a lot of catastrophic heart or similar type stuff. Feel like that makes poisoning more likely

Whether what happened to him was unfortunate or sinister, I'd be scared shitless if I was in Qatar covering the tournament right now.
Chances are that this was natural causes, but just because we know some of the shite going on in Qatar (thanks partly to Grant's reporting), it's enough to be a little skittish.
And I feel like a total douchebag for making a thread a few weeks back calling Wall a chode. I felt that way at the time, but damn man, I would never wish this on him or his family. Truly awful news.
