The Morris one hits home for me - diagnosed for Type 1 as a kid. My first question to the doctor after they explained what the hell diabetes was to me was "Can I still play sports?" His answer was almost verbatim as Morris' doctor

Pepi and Turner were huge reasons we are where we are. How the frick are they left off the roster? That’s a tragedy.

Turner

Que?

ETA: As for Pepi, he had a stellar debut against Honduras (that likely saved Gregg's job) and then scored a brace against Jamaica, but then after that he went a full year without scoring a goal. He recently found a run of form with Groningen and got called up last month, but didn't look good (to be fair, no one did). I'm not saying it's the right call, but I can see why he didn't get called.

My bad. Thought I saw Turner didn’t make the cut.

He’s a “good vibes guy” according to Gregg

So I kind of like this, and then depending on the team, if you bring on Aaronson-Sargent-Weah, we would be able to absolutely press the shite out of teams and apply so much pressure.

I’ve also wished we would see more Sargent and Weah together since the U17 World Cup in India. Obviously that was a long time ago, but they had a great connection there.

Sargent said today that they are playing a friendly on Thursday. I'm assuming it's closed doors.

Having watched a ton of Fulham this season, I'm starting to think Jedi might low key be our most important player.

I believe he led the team in chances created during qualifying, and we saw how dreadful they are without him in the last window. The way he bombs forward so quickly and can make the passes to start a break are going to be so important if we actually want to score.

Hes also fast enough to get back and recover, and he's good enough with the ball to break through the press, something we couldn't do without him versus Japan.

He sprung the counter for Fulham's equalizer today. Ream also had a header on goal off a set piece and was the highest rated defender.

Hoping their relationship translates to national team success.
No reason it wouldn’t.

Something I noted: In separate sessions with TV & digital press, Kellyn Acosta was asked (a lot) about how the #USMNT can contain Gareth Bale. The key? Be physical. "We need to literally start kicking him around the field a little bit. Make him feel us," Acosta said.

I mean, we've watched Pulisic get the shite kicked out of him for 5 years now so this isn't something new to the international game.

Also, remember Acosta is Bales teammate at LAFC, so he probably watched Bale be baby soft whenever he'd get contacted in practice or games. And knowing Bale is a different animal when he's in a Wales kit sees that as a hopeful opportunity.

Personally, I'd go after him mentally and just tell him he sucks at golf for 90 mins.

Just curse at him in Spanish (either Mexican or Castilian dialect).
