So Poch is our coach but he's living in Europe getting paid big bucks by Chelsea still. Good for him and now the hire makes more sense. USSF getting a major discount until they deem time to make an official announcement and Poch gets to make double the $. He can still be in contact and coach and develop our players without penalty.

I think with porch, we might have an edge in dual players.

So evidently their is a US soccer board of directors meeting going on today. Hopefully this will lead to the official hiring of our coach.

According to McBride, Conrad and Davies it's still the Chelsea hang up. But they still believe it's happening.

Maybe stop posting everything you see on twitter, you've given like 5 different times that the announcement was going to happen.
We all know it's coming, just let the announcement happen on its own. No need to try and break news that everybody already knows on a message board

From a marketing standpoint, there are a couple of ways the inevitable announce can go.
1) Announce it right before the first match of this friendly window in hopes of getting a bump in social engagement and (more importantly) ticket sales with the official news. The downside in that is that it could also drive away ticket sales because fans could take the "Poch isn't coaching these matches, why should I care?"
2) Likely the smarter option would be to announce it in the lead up to the October window (or whatever window Poch will actually coach his first match) and get the obvious ticket/engagement bump because it's the announcement followed by the immediate debut as opposed to the announcement followed by the blue balls of waiting until he actually debuts.
Who the frick knows how the marketing department actually handles this considering they announced Gregg's return in the middle of a fricking match against Mexico, so they'll probably announce it at a time that makes the least amount of sense.

Don’t care if, when, or how they announce it.
I just hope it doesn’t fall though.
Call me shocked if USSF screws this up somehow.
Or if they never have a shot at him and this is all staged for them to rehire Greggg and say “well we tried to hire Poch but Chelsea wouldn’t let us”

It obviously won't happen, but it honestly would be hilarious if they fire a guy just to rehire him.
That's something they didn't even do the last time. They just waited forever to re-sign him.
