Wow. 2 unprecedented VAR calls for me. Turned a yellow into red after review of non intentional foul. And took a goal away on a foul away from ball well before goal. Never saw either of those before.

Costa Rica sucks and will finish last in their group. New Zealand was definitely better but I have no problem with either VAR call.
The New Zealand player literally tackled the CR player and that was the only reason they were able to get the cross off. And that tackle was terrible. Studs up into the ankle way after the ball was gone.

If the ref got both critical decisions in the match wrong, why is he the ref? Just get him off the pitch and run the match from the booth.

Haven't seen the red yet, but the foul that was not called in the buildup before the goal that VAR spotted was absolutely correct. White 19 clearly wraps his arm around Red 6's left leg and pulls him down. That isn't a difficult call at all.
