Weah comes off the bench and gets an assist.

ETA: and he just got another assist

Weah getting healthy is really important. At the end of the day however chunky our team looks, Weah and pulisic on the wings with Jedi constantly getting up the left side of the field will produce enough goals to get us out of the group.

I'm still taking a healthy Reyna on the wing over Weah.

Weah at the 9 would solve that problem. Eat shite Greg.

I wouldn't be opposed to trying him, but he isn't that great in the middle of the field.

Can’t be any worse than our other options, but it doesn’t matter anymore since Greg never bothered to experiment with it.

You never know, the pressure of the World Cup can make coaches grasp for anything.

I think if we really wanted to get wild, play Pulisic as a false 9 since he drifts inside anyway.

I know you're gonna die on that hill, but Weah has been demonstrably better for the USMNT than Gio over the past year.

Between Pulisic’s goal last week, Weah not missing a beat on the way back from injury, Gio’s cameo, Turner looking good in the Europa League, Jedi back from injury, and Steffen coming back, this has been a very good 10 days for us.

At this point, are the biggest problems the following?
a) Richards still being out and not playing much to begin with
b) de la Torre just not getting much time
c) Reggie Cannon’s injury
d) Dest playing poorly for Milan

Am I missing anything else?

Only because Gio has been hurt.

A healthy Gio is better than Weah. A healthy Gio is better than anyone wearing a USMNT shirt. It's just a big question if he is healthy.

He was their highest rated player in their last CL game I think. He’s at least playing.

I’m much more worried about Richards not playing/being chronically injured.

e) Gregggg still hating Pefok

And as far as Richards goes, they just need to go with the guy playing every week plus the Champions league in CCV. I know its not the highest level domestic league and they're getting roasted in UCL, but at least he's playing and his last name isn't Long.

Have an upvote

And man Ream has been burned for Fulham the past few weeks. Completely different player than the first month.

Yeah the only one of those four things that really concerns me is the situation with Chris Richards.

De La Torre and Cannon would be two of the last guys off the bench in any situation so it’s not a major concern.

Pefok not being played at all is inexcusable but I was mostly looking at fluid situations, like injury and players in relatively poor form.

Pefok is pretty much the only snub that upsets me though.

I see it's a new coach, same dilemma for Pulisic.

Scores a goal and plays a great game last week, sits on the bench unused next 2 games.

Pefok with a strong hold up play 18 yards from goal. He passes a beautiful ball back to an onrushing teammate who blisters a worm burner for a 25 yard goal against Dortmund.
