Yeah. Chattanooga's not a bad place to live, if you don't mind long, hot Summers. The food in the South is so much better than anything that I've had in the PNW. Even the fast food chains are better.

I would rank them good. We have two great-grandchildren in public schools here. Both doing well and have never seen any types of trouble there.

On the other hand, if someone had no kids, loved to snowboard, enjoyed trail running and mountain hikes, wasn't a big sports fan but enjoyed big game trophy hunting for elk and bison they may prefer Ft Collins, Co.
Tell me more.

I'm in SLC. This is the 6th state ive ived in and it's far and away my favorite so far. I'd like to go international at some point though and see how it goes. Maybe Portugal, maybe Ecuador

I’ve pretty much lived in the same city for my whole life aside from my 4 years in college which was only about an hour and a half away. Thinking I’m ready to mix it up while I still can

I don’t really find the winters difficult anymore. I find Louisiana summers to be worse. And a Chicago summer is magic

I agree... though the winter could be a little shorter

I'll also add 30 degrees in South Louisiana feels way colder than 30 degrees in Chicago...

We tried out SLC for 5 months earlier this year. We'll be moving back permanently early next year. Unlimited amount of amazing things to do there.

This is the best place I have lived, by far. The entirety of Southeast Alaska is pretty awesome. 20 million acres of public land, mild climate and few people. Its the size of Florida with less than 70k population.

Pros:

Sea and Mountains (More than ample outdoors activites)
Decent people
Exquisite scenery
Lots of economic opportunity
Easy to navigate

Cons:
Weather can be disagreeable if you don't like rain
(rainforest)
Expensive (groceries, services)
End of the line when it comes to supply chains.
So much public land that private land is costly.
Lots of Democrats.
